Customize the email sender address

Control the "from" address and reply-to address for emails VideoTestimonials sends on your behalf.

When VideoTestimonials sends a collection request or a thank-you email to one of your customers, the email arrives from a VideoTestimonials domain by default. On paid plans you can override this with your own sender settings so emails come from you.

Configure your sender

  1. Go to Dashboard โ†’ Settings.
  2. Find the Email Sender Settings section.
  3. Fill in:
    • Sender email โ€” the "from" address your customers will see. Must be on a verified domain.
    • Reply-to email โ€” where replies go when customers hit reply.
    • Notification email โ€” where VideoTestimonials sends you internal notifications (new testimonials, failed imports, etc.).
  4. Click Save.

Domain verification

To send from you@yourcompany.com, you need to verify yourcompany.com. Head to Dashboard โ†’ Branding (accessed via the Domains tab on a space) to add DNS records. Once verified, the sender address is available across your workspace.

Fallback behavior

If the sender email hasn't been verified yet, we send from our default VideoTestimonials domain with the reply-to pointing at your address. Customers still hit reply and land in your inbox.

Good sender practices

  • Use a real inbox for reply-to. Monitor it โ€” customers will respond with questions.
  • Don't put "noreply" in the from address. Replies are valuable signals.
  • Keep the sender name consistent with your brand (e.g. "Acme Support" not just "Acme").
