Steps to Import Google Reviews

Navigate to the Import Section: Go to Dashboard → Import → Reviews & Other at https://app.videotestimonials.video/dashboard/import.

Select Google Reviews: In the Reviews & Other tab, click Google.

Search for Your Business:
- Enter your business name (and city / address if needed).
- We call the Google Places API to find the match.
- Pick your business from the results.

Import Reviews:
- Click Import. We fetch reviews from two sources: the Google Places API (the 5 most helpful reviews with avatars) and our own scraper (additional public reviews).
- Every review is de-duplicated before being saved.

Review Imported Data: After the import is complete, you'll see a summary of the reviews imported. Each one has author, text, rating, and date.
Troubleshooting
- Business not found: Try including the city or address. The Places API uses Google's search ranking; obscure small businesses may not surface without a more specific query.
- Fewer reviews than expected: The Places API caps at 5 "most helpful" reviews. Our scraper picks up more, but heavily-throttled scraping days can return a short list. Retry later.
