HubSpot CRM integration

Sync VideoTestimonials into HubSpot so testimonials land on the right contact, company, and deal.

Push every new testimonial into HubSpot as a note on the matching contact. Use testimonials as triggers for workflows, send renewal reminders to happy customers, or surface social proof to your sales reps mid-call.

HubSpot integration is available on the Business plan.

Connect HubSpot

  1. Go to Dashboard โ†’ Integrations โ†’ HubSpot.
  2. Click Connect HubSpot.
  3. Sign in to your HubSpot portal and approve the scopes we request:
    • Read/write contacts
    • Read/write companies
    • Read/write notes and engagements
  4. You're redirected back โ€” the HubSpot card shows "Connected" with your portal name.

What syncs

When a new testimonial is approved, we:

  • Find or create the contact in HubSpot using the customer's email.
  • Add a note with the full testimonial text and a link back to VideoTestimonials.
  • Attach any video as a file on the contact.
  • Set a custom property vt_has_testimonial = true on the contact so you can segment.

Field mapping

On the HubSpot integration page, map our testimonial fields to your custom HubSpot properties:

  • Rating โ†’ custom number property (e.g. testimonial_rating)
  • Tags โ†’ multi-select property (e.g. testimonial_tags)
  • Source (which form or import) โ†’ single-line text property

Unmapped fields are ignored.

Sync history

The page shows every sync attempt โ€” success, skipped, failed โ€” with timestamps. Click a failed sync to see the error from HubSpot (usually permission or rate-limit related).

Disconnect

Click Disconnect on the HubSpot integration page. Historical synced notes stay in HubSpot โ€” only the ongoing sync stops.
